'New England Equine' is a professional multi-discipline stables, situated in the village of Moonbi, 15mins north of Tamworth NSW. Specialising in breaking/training, racehorses, show horses, dressage horses, cow horses, clinic Centre and breeding services

With over 20 horses in full work. We are looking for a full time groom to join our team for ideally an immediate start. 

We are looking for that perfect applicant! This is not a position for someone that just likes horses, or wants to work with horses for the first time, or just needs a job. 

MUST have extensive competition horse experience with a PASSION!

Must be confident, hard working, energetic, diligent, polite, have excellent self presentation, good communication skills, a sense of humour and eager to learn and improve their skills. 

Duties will include but are no limited to and must be very capable of;

- Care of 20+ elite client's horses. Ranging young unbroken stock, stallions and colts.

- Feeding

- Extensive Rugging (must have understanding of what it takes to keep coats on top competition horses)

- Saddling

- Hosing and washing horses

- Care of tack

- Cleaning stables + paddocks of the highest of levels

- Lunging at home and at competitions

- Daily management + care of elite show horses

- Grooming and all aspects of show preparation + presentation at home and at competitions 

*There is no cutting corners with our horses, so if you want to do bare minimum just to get a wage, this is not the job for you * 

This is not a stay at home position, successful applicants will travel extensively across the country to competitions with us and work along side top quality horses.

This includes long hard hours, that can be up to 7 days a week at peak times. 

This isn't a standard 9-5 job, but for the right applicant, this could be an amazing opportunity to learn and compete at top level. 

Ability to bring your own horse can be negotiated.
